This is a great video. Feels odd watching it in July 2024 but I had forgotten I saved it to Watch Later. I was playing around with the commands and found you can sort your Watch Later list so I reset it for Date Added Oldest and have found stuff I saved two years ago! I have changed my settings for your channel to All notifications now so I no longer miss any.

Babysitter's Club is a great addition too! Even though its middle grade.. It had summer vibes to it.

I was feeling so depressed about summer but now I actually feel hopeful and inspired to make it a great season! 😊

I’m struck by how much land she has, I live in nyc, I go out to my park in the mornings and there’s loud stupid people walking around the track, everywhere there’s fences, parking and overgrown areas, a field takes work. So I wonder? Is this her farm?

Good for you that you carpe diemed your dream and actually did it. But there are similar balls I am sure closer to you. I don't know what part of North America you live in -- but look for English/Regency Dance Societies near you -- or like in the San Francisco Bay Area, there is something called PEERS - Period Events Reenactments , the Bay Area Country Dance Society -- and then there are the annual balls --again I just speak of the SF Bay Area, there are the Playford Balls (for English Country Dancing) and there used to be the bigger GASKELL balls with great Halloween balls! And those formal, annual balls, always have the opening Grand Promenade or Grand March numbers for opening. But so you can get your ball fix filled annually, without having to fly to those TERRIBLY CROWDED Vienna events (I mean those were heavy-duty Covid-spreader events). BTW, love your fur-babies. Are they Persians?? (Oh, and you went to the ball without a jacket? I'm glad you didn't catch a cold or something worse.)

Thank you for the nod to those of us who have kids! I love your videos and am always inspired by them. I have a 1-year old daughter and am 4.5 months pregnant with my second. So sometimes it's hard to take time just for myself. But, thank you for the reminder that it's important!

Some book suggestions: For summer, Summerlost (I don't know the author), Once Upon a Summer by Janette Oak, and Girl of the Limberlost. Seasons of Change series by Janette Oak is perfect because she has a book for each season. 😊

It's almost July, and today I finally got a real break for my studies... I couldn't enjoy Christmas like I wanted too because I had so much work to do that even spent the 24 and 25 studying. Well, since the weather in Portugal is pretty bad for "summer", I guess I will try to enjoy the next few days like it's Christmas! Hope you all had a wonderful time on your festive time. I live for the summer. All year, I go through a state of driving to and from a thankless job every day and simply _existing_ until the sun and warm air banish the cold and dark. My vacation from work started today, and I wasn't even excited for it because all day yesterday, I dealt with rude customers and a demeaning boss. This is my favorite time of year, and I let other people steal my joy in it. This video has been a welcome 'shock' back into my happy summer mode, thank you!
